Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: ASAP - Ongoing
- Job Setting: Inpatient
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Call Details: Beeper call; 30-minute response time required; Call ratio 1:2; Typically 3-4 patients seen on call
- EMR System: Epic
- Number of Operating Rooms: 8
- Patients Per Shift: Typically 1 surgery patient per day; also supports a Cath/EP lab and cardiac imaging
- Beds in Department: 22
- Types of Cases: Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia; Cardiac, Complete Ortho, Head/Spine, Neuro, Pediatric, Thoracic surgeries
- Skills Required:
- Pediatric General Anesthesia (Required)
- Neonatal General Anesthesia (Preferred)
- Spinal Anesthesia (Required)
- Open Heart Anesthesia (Required)
- Central Line Placement (Required)
- Arterial Line Placement (Required)
- Pain Management Techniques (Preferred)
- Post-op Epidural (Preferred)
- Post-op Extremity Blocks (Preferred)
- Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume/BP Issues (Preferred)
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified Required
- Fellowship: Fellowship Training Required (Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia)
- Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Licensure: Washington State License (IMLC not accepted); Temporary privileges available
- Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 120 days
