Locum Tenens – Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist
Location: Hollywood, Florida
Start Date: ASAP / PRN coverage accepted
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, consecutive shifts available, no weekends, no call
Shift Length: 8–10 hours
Openings: 2
Key Credentials & Licensing
- Board Certification: Required (no BC/BE exceptions)
- State License: Active Florida License required
- Experience: 2 years post-training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia (no new grads)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Primary coverage: Pediatric cardiac anesthesia (solo & 2:1 with medical direction)
- Approximate case volume: 800/month, including 200 open hearts, 10+ transplants, 500 caths
- Majority cases: General Surgery, Orthopedics, GU, ENT, Dental
- Medically directed: Yes (50% supervised, 50% solo cases)
- Required procedures: Central lines, arterial lines, pressors
- Facility: Level I Pediatric Trauma
- ORs: 11
- Support Staff: 2 CRNAs, 1 MD
- EMR: Epic
