Description
A healthcare system in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia services for cardiac surgical procedures in a hospital-based setting.
The physician will work alongside cardiac surgeons and perioperative teams to deliver high-quality anesthesia care for complex cardiovascular cases. This opportunity offers a consistent daytime schedule with no call responsibilities and exposure to a collaborative surgical environment.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for cardiac surgical procedures
- Perform pre-operative patient evaluations
- Manage intraoperative anesthesia for cardiac cases
- Monitor patients during procedures and recovery
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and OR teams
- Manage post-anesthesia care and patient stabilization
- Document anesthesia care in EMR (Epic)
- Ensure patient safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Cardiac anesthesia experience required
- Active Pennsylvania medical license or willingness to obtain
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of anesthesia experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Working Hours
4–5 shifts per week
10-hour day shifts
Start times vary (6:15 AM – 7:00 AM start)
No call required.
