Locums – Omaha, Nebraska, Cardiac Anesthesiology Job (IMLC Accepted)

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

• Start Date: May 1, 2026

• End Date: Ongoing

• Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday (8–10 hour days)

  • Call: Unrestricted overnight + weekend call required

• Must be available for listed dates to be considered

• Board Certification:

  • Cardiac Anesthesiology – Required

  • TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) – Required

• TEE Certification: Required (NBE testamur status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography)

• Fellowship: Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship – Required

  • Alternative: 5+ years CV anesthesia experience + strong references + TEE testamur status

• State License: Nebraska License – Highly Preferred OR IMLC accepted

  • Will consider candidates needing license if obtained before May

• Cases:

  • Open heart

  • Thoracic

  • Vascular

  • Structural heart

  • General OR (as needed)

• Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric only (no pediatrics)

• Annual Volume: ~360–450 cardiac cases/year

• Team: 2 cardiac surgeons

• Setting: 187-bed Level I Trauma / Academic Center

• Facilities:

  • 15 ORs

  • 3 Endoscopy Suites

  • 2 EP Labs

  • Additional: TEE, Cardiology, Neuro IR, Bronch, MRI, OB

• EMR: Epic

• Work Style: Hands-on cases; occasional CRNA supervision

• Reason for Coverage: Previous locum canceled
