Cardiac Anesthesiologist - Inpatient | Silverdale, WA

Locum Tenens | Multiple Summer Blocks Available

Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist for inpatient locum coverage due to provider shortage. This role focuses exclusively on cardiac cases with guaranteed weekly volume and dedicated cardiac OR access. Multiple summer blocks are available.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fellowship-trained cardiac anesthesiologist looking for structured scheduling and scenic Pacific Northwest surroundings.

About the Facility

  • Trauma Level III hospital

  • Modern campus built in 2020

  • Located in Kitsap County on Washington’s Peninsula

  • 1–2 Cardiac ORs

  • 1 EP Lab

  • 1 Structural Interventional Lab

  • EMR: Epic

  • Non-teaching facility

  • No cardiac or liver transplants

  • No supervision of CRNAs

  • Other anesthesiologists onsite (not in same case)

Compensation

Job Responsibilities

Provide cardiac anesthesia for inpatient surgical cases
Perform and interpret TEE (required)

Manage cases including:
CABG
Mitral Valve (MV)
Aortic Valve (AV)
TAVR
LAAC
Maze
Atrial Fibrillation Ablation

Participate in night and weekend call coverage
Deliver safe, independent cardiac anesthesia care

Qualifications

Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship – Required
Board Certified in Echocardiography – Required
TEE Certified – Required
Active Washington license – Highly Preferred
IMLC accepted (LOQ required at the time of Application)
BLS, ACLS, DEA – Required
Clean malpractice/background history – Highly Preferred

Working Hours

Weekday Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Call Requirements:
1 night per week (begins after shift ends)
1 weekend per month (24-hour call blocks 6a–6a)
Call ends at 6:00 AM the following day

Multiple shifts blocks available June–August.

High clinical judgment and procedural confidence
