Locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist Opportunities in Washington!

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist for locum tenens inpatient coverage due to provider shortage. The physician will provide dedicated cardiac anesthesia services (no general case coverage) in a modern facility with guaranteed cardiac cases and no CRNA supervision. This is a 1.0 FTE role focused on complex cardiac procedures, including structural and electrophysiology cases.

Dates / Schedule

Shift Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Friday–Sunday: 24-hour call (6:00 AM – 6:00 AM)

• Call: 1 night per week (post-shift) + 1 weekend per month

• Call ends at 6:00 AM the following day

Open Coverage Blocks:

• 6/15–6/18 (6a–4p); 6/19 (6a) – 6/22 (6a)

• 7/6–7/9 (6a–4p); 7/10 (6a) – 7/13 (6a)

• 7/13–7/16 (6a–4p); 7/17 (6a) – 7/20 (6a)

• 8/3–8/6 (6a–4p); 8/7 (6a) – 8/10 (6a)

• 8/10–8/13 (6a–4p); 8/14 (6a) – 8/17 (6a)

Assignment Duration: Specific blocks listed above
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days

Job Details & Responsibilities

Setting: Inpatient
EMR: Epic

Clinical Environment:

• 1–2 cardiac ORs

• 1 EP lab

• 1 structural interventional lab

• 2–5 cardiac cases per week (guaranteed)

• Additional anesthesiologists onsite (not sharing cases)

• No CRNA supervision

• No general anesthesia coverage

• No cardiac or liver transplants

Types of Cases / Required Procedures:

• CABG

• Mitral valve (MV)

• Aortic valve (AV)

• TAVR

• LAAC

• Maze procedures

• Atrial fibrillation ablations

TEE experience/certification is required.

Reason for Coverage: Provider shortage

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology (Required)

• Board Certified in Echocardiography (Required)

• TEE Certified (Required)

• Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship (Required)

• Active Washington license (Highly Preferred) or IMLC LOQ in hand

• BLS, ACLS, DEA (Required)

• Clean malpractice and background history (Highly Preferred)
