Cardiac Anesthesiologist (Locum Tenens)
Location: Silverdale (Kitsap County)
Setting: Inpatient

Reason for Coverage: Provider shortage
St. Michael Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist for locum coverage at their modern facility located on Washington’s scenic Kitsap Peninsula, with convenient ferry access to Seattle. The hospital campus, built in 2020, offers views of the Olympic Mountains and access to outdoor recreation.
Position Details

Cardiac Volume: 2–5 cases per week (guaranteed cardiac cases)

Cases Include:
-
CABG
-
Mitral valve (MV)
-
Aortic valve (AV)
-
TAVR
-
LAAC
-
Maze
-
Atrial fibrillation ablations
-
-
Procedural Requirements: Must be comfortable performing all listed cardiac procedures

Supervision: No CRNA supervision required
-
Other Anesthesiologists: Present onsite (not in same cases)

No transplant cases
-
No general anesthesia coverage if cardiac cases are not scheduled

Schedule & Call
-
Mon–Thurs: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Fri–Sun: 24-hour call (6:00 AM – 6:00 AM)

Call Requirements:
-
1 weeknight call per week (post-shift)
-
1 weekend per month
-
Call ends at 6:00 AM the following day

Credentialing

Timeframe: ~90 days (standard)

Required Qualifications
-
Board Certified in Anesthesiology
-
Board Certified in Echocardiography
-
TEE Certified (Required)
-
Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship (Required)
-
Active Washington license (Highly Preferred) or IMLC with LOQ at submission
-
BLS, ACLS, DEA
-
Clean malpractice/background history preferred
Travel
-
Preferred lodging: Oxford Suites (Silverdale)

One flight per shift block permitted

Travel exceptions must be disclosed at submission, including departure city
