A leading, well-established private anesthesia practice in Albany, New York is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join its growing cardiac team. This opportunity supports an expanding cardiac surgery program within a busy inpatient heart center environment.

This is a full-time permanent position offering the ability to work alongside experienced cardiac surgeons and a collaborative anesthesia team.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for cardiac surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacements, and complex cardiac cases
• Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for cardiac patients
• Deliver general and regional anesthesia services
• Manage primarily cardiac and vascular cases (no OB or trauma)
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to protocol development and quality improvement initiatives
• Practice independently (no CRNA supervision required)

Qualifications

• Board Eligible (within 5 years) or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• ECHO Board Certified and/or Completion of Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship (prior to start)
• Eligible for or active New York medical license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (by start date)
• H-1B visa candidates accepted (J-1 not accepted)
• Candidates must have active Board Certification (no lapsed certifications)

Working Hours

• Variable 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
• Call rotation: 1:5
• First call every eighth night
• No second call
• Average 6–8 cardiac cases per day
• 30 operating rooms
