Outstanding opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a highly respected, established anesthesia practice supporting a growing cardiac surgery program in Upstate New York.
Practice in a high-volume heart center with 30 operating rooms and a strong team of cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff. This role focuses primarily on cardiac and vascular cases in a collaborative, physician-driven environment.
Ideal for fellowship-trained cardiac anesthesiologists seeking complex cases, strong team culture, and a balanced call structure.
๐ฉบ Job Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for cardiac surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacements, and complex cardiac interventions
- Manage 6โ8 cardiac cases per day within a high-volume program
- Perform comprehensive pre-operative evaluations
- Deliver intraoperative anesthesia management including advanced hemodynamic monitoring
- Participate in post-operative cardiac patient care
- Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and nursing teams
- Contribute to protocol development and quality improvement initiatives
- Cover variable 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts
- Participate in 1:5 call rotation (first call every eighth night, no second call)
โ Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained
- Active or eligible for New York medical license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong expertise in cardiac anesthesia and advanced monitoring
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

- Variable 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts
- 1:5 call rotation
- First call every eighth night
- No second call
