Premier Cardiac Anesthesiology opportunity in Galloway, New Jersey with a hospital-based practice delivering high-acuity cardiovascular and thoracic anesthesia services. This role offers exposure to open heart surgery, complex vascular procedures, thoracic cases, and advanced hemodynamic management in a collaborative surgical environment.
Ideal for a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist with strong cardiac expertise seeking a Locum or Locum-to-Perm position in a high-volume acute care setting. Work alongside experienced surgical teams and CRNAs while utilizing a modern EMR system in a Level II trauma center.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage thoracic (non-open heart) and complex vascular cases
• Perform IV regional, plexus, spinal, and regional anesthesia
• Conduct ventilation management and local infiltration techniques
• Insert and manage TEE, PA catheters, arterial lines, and central lines
• Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs
• Deliver perioperative cardiac anesthesia care across surgical services
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
Qualifications
• Active New Jersey Medical License (required)
• ACLS & BLS Certifications (AHA)
• Proven experience in Open Heart, Thoracic, and Complex Vascular cases
• Proficiency with TEE and invasive line placement
• Experience supervising CRNAs
• Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia (preferred)
• Recent NPDB Self-Query
Working Hours
• 8-hour or 12-hour shifts
• Weekday coverage
• Optional night and weekend call available
