seeking a Board-Certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist for locum coverage.
This position includes both solo and care team cardiac cases, with MD-only weekend coverage. Candidates must be able to provide:

One full week of coverage: 7/20–7/24

AND either 7/18–7/19 OR 7/25–7/26 weekend call
Additional ongoing call coverage required (approximately 1 weekend per month and some weekday call).
Job Responsibilities
CABG
Valve replacements
Aortic surgery
Advanced EP ablations
Watchman procedures
Perform TEE examinations
Place arterial lines, CVCs, PACs
Provide regional anesthesia
Cover general surgery, ortho, GI, robotics, OB (C-sections required), radiology, endo, ENT, plastics, neuro
No trauma cases
Participate in care team model (26 CRNAs / 12 MDs)
Weekend call (Friday–Sunday, within 30 minutes of hospital)
Qualifications
Cardiac Fellowship – Required
TEE Certification – Required
Active Florida Medical License – Required prior to presentation
Active DEA – Required
ACLS, BLS, PALS – Required
Valid Driver’s License required at presentation
Must meet specific availability date requirements
Must pass clean background review
Working Hours
Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage (Friday–Sunday)
Approximately 1 weekend call per month
Some weekday call required
Call is home/hotel beeper call (within 30 minutes of facility)
Skills
TEE proficiency
Hemodynamic monitoring (a-line, CVC, PAC)
High-acuity perioperative management
Ability to function in solo and team-based models
OB anesthesia (C-sections required)
