We are seeking Board Certified / Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologists for an exciting permanent opportunity in Albany, New York. This role offers the chance to work in a high-volume cardiac program alongside an experienced surgical and anesthesia team.

🏥 Position Overview

• Specialty: Cardiac Anesthesiology

• Position Type: Permanent

• Compensation: $650,000+ annually

• Sign-On Bonus: $100,000

• Shifts: 8, 10, or 12 hours

• Operating Rooms: 30

• Cases per Day: 6–8 Cardiac Cases

This is a high-volume inpatient heart center supporting a growing cardiac surgery program.

🩺 Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for complex cardiac procedures, including:

  • CABG

  • Valve replacements

  • Advanced cardiovascular surgeries

• Conduct pre-operative evaluations

• Manage post-operative anesthesia care

• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary teams

• Help develop and improve anesthesia protocols and patient care processes

Physicians also provide anesthesia for a variety of additional procedures including orthopedic, pediatric, general surgery, and endoscopic cases.

👨‍⚕️ Practice Highlights

• Large, well-established anesthesia group

• Support from experienced CRNAs and surgical teams

• No requirement to supervise CRNAs

• Primarily cardiac and vascular cases

• No OB or trauma coverage

⏰ Call Schedule

• 1:5 rotation

• First call every eighth night

• No second call

• Weekend call only as scheduled

• Primarily Adult and Geriatric

• Occasional pediatric cases

✅ Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology

• ECHO Board Certified or Cardiac Fellowship Trained

• Active New York medical license or willingness to obtain

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required by start date

• Recent NPDB Self Query
