Full-time opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a well-established private practice serving hospital campuses in Albany and Troy, New York. The position supports a high-volume inpatient heart center with newly added cardiac surgeons. Cases are primarily cardiac and vascular, with no OB or trauma. This role offers strong compensation, a collaborative cardiac team environment, and no CRNA supervision requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct pre-operative evaluations and post-operative management
Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
Participate in protocol development and quality improvement initiatives
Deliver anesthesia in a 30-OR high-volume inpatient setting
Share in 1:5 call rotation (first call every 8th night; no second call)
Qualifications
ECHO Board Certified and/or completion of Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship – Required
Cardiac Fellowship-Trained – Highly Preferred
Active New York license or willingness to obtain – Required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS (by start date) – Required
Recent NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – Required
Must disclose visa requirement (H-1B accepted; no J-1)
No lapsed board certification
Not accepting Locums candidates
Working Hours
Variable 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts
1:5 call rotation
