North Carolina – CV Anesthesiology
Schedule
• Scheduled coverage, no call
• Monday–Friday
• Day shifts: 7:00am–3:00pm (8 hours)
• Full-time physicians working all 4 weeks per month
Start Date
• April 6, 2026
• CV start need is ASAP
Work Details
• Duration: 6 months, possibly longer until permanent W2 hires are secured
• Board status: BE or BC
• Average CV cases per day: 10 to 15
• General anesthesia cases per month: 3,500 to 4,000
• Case mix: Busy OB, trauma, designated stroke center, vascular, neuro, urology, ortho
• Must be able to perform peripheral nerve blocks
• Shifts: 8–10 hours
• No call and no weekends
Support Staff / Department
• Ratios: 1 MD to 3 CRNAs or 1 MD to 4 CRNAs
• Anesthesia tech support
• Care team model: Primarily supervisory, MDs may work their own cases if preferred
• EMR: Cerner and AIMS
• Special procedures: General, ortho, endo, urology, gyn, robotics, neuro/spine
• Very little pediatrics
• No craniotomies or transplants
• Dedicated trauma and cardiac teams
• Potential vascular involvement

• No stipend; receipts required for reimbursement
Requirements
• Active North Carolina license required
