🕒 Schedule & Call

• ⏰ Variable shifts: 8, 10, or 12 hours

• 📞 Call rotation 1:5

  • First call every 8th night

  • No second call

• 🏥 Coverage across two nearby campuses in Albany & Troy

🩺 Clinical Practice Highlights

• Provide anesthesia for complex cardiac surgical cases, including:

  • CABG

  • Valve replacements

  • Advanced cardiac & vascular procedures

• 📊 6–8 cardiac cases per day

• 👨‍⚕️ Adult and geriatric-focused population (some pediatric exposure)

• 🤝 Close collaboration with cardiac surgeons, nursing, and OR teams

• 📝 Participate in pre-op evaluations and post-op cardiac care

• 🔄 Contribute to protocol development and clinical excellence initiatives

✅ Candidate Requirements

• ✔️ Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Anesthesiology

• ✔️ ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship completed

• ✔️ Cardiac Fellowship highly preferred

• ✔️ Active New York license (or willingness to obtain)

• ✔️ BLS, ACLS, PALS by start date

• ✔️ Strong communication and teamwork skills

• ✔️ Clean licensing and malpractice history

• ❌ No locums candidates

• ❌ Lapsed board certification not accepted
