ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking one Locum or Locum-to-Perm Anesthesiologist to support an open permanent position. This hospital-based role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care for complex surgical cases at a Level II trauma center, with responsibilities that include supervising CRNAs and covering weekday, night, and weekend call.

Dates / Schedule

• Start Date: January 2026

• Duration: TBD (Locum or Locum-to-Perm opportunity)

• Schedule: Varies based on surgical schedule and hospital needs

• Coverage Includes: Weekdays, night call, and weekend call

• Call Schedule/Ratio: TBD

• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 45–60 days

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for a wide range of adult surgical cases

• Manage complex cases including:

  • Open heart anesthesia

  • Thoracic cases (non–open heart)

  • Complex vascular cases (non–open heart)

• Perform and manage anesthesia techniques, including:

  • General, regional, spinal, IV regional, plexus, and local infiltration anesthesia

  • Ventilation management

• Perform invasive monitoring and line placement:

  • Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)

  • Pulmonary artery (PA) catheter

  • Arterial line

  • Central line

• Supervise CRNAs as part of the anesthesia care team

• Work in a hospital-based setting at a Level II trauma center

• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified in Anesthesiology (required)

• Active New Jersey medical license at time of submission (required; no licensing wait)

• ACLS and BLS certifications (required)

• Demonstrated proficiency in:

  • Open heart anesthesia

  • Thoracic anesthesia (non–open heart)

  • Complex vascular cases

• Experience with:

  • TEE, PA catheter, arterial line, and central line insertion

  • Supervising CRNAs

• Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesia (preferred)

• Cerner EMR experience (preferred)
