Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise CRNAs and provide anesthesia for general surgical cases.
  • Perform required procedures, including open heart anesthesia, regional anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, and thoracic (except open heart) cases.
  • Manage ventilation and insert TEE, PA catheter, arterial line, and central line as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Board Certification in Anesthesiology
  • Active New Jersey Medical License
  • ACLS and BLS Certifications
  • Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia (preferred)
  • Proficiency in open heart, thoracic (non-open heart), and complex vascular cases
  • Experience with Cerner EMR (preferred)

Working Hours

  • Flexible scheduling necessary to meet hospital needs, including night and weekend call coverage.

Skills

  • Strong supervisory skills with experience managing CRNAs
  • Exceptional proficiency in complex cardiac and vascular anesthesia
  • Expertise in using Cerner EMR
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
