Job Responsibilities
General Surgical Cases (Adult)
IV Regional and Plexus Anesthesia
Open Heart & Thoracic (non-Open Heart) Cases
Complex Vascular Cases
Spinal and Regional Anesthesia
Local Infiltration & Ventilation Management
Line/Device Insertion Skills Required:
Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
Pulmonary Artery (PA) Catheter
Arterial Line
Central Line
Supervision:
Required to supervise CRNAs
Qualifications
Board Certified in Anesthesiology – Required
Active New Jersey Medical License – Required (no time for licensing)
ACLS & BLS Certifications – Required
Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia – Preferred
Proficiency in Open Heart, Thoracic, and Complex Vascular cases – Required
Experience with TEE, PA Catheter, Arterial & Central Line insertion – Required
Experience supervising CRNAs – Required
Experience with Cerner EMR – Preferred
Working Hours
Variable shifts based on surgical schedule and hospital needs
8-hour or 12-hour shifts starting at 7:00 AM
Weekday, night call, and weekend call coverage available (optional)
Weekend/on-call not required but available for additional coverage
