  • Location: Midland, Michigan

  • Facility: 324-bed Medical Center

  • Type: Full-time, hospital-employed role

  • Start Date: Open / Flexible

  • Reason for Recruitment: Growing community need

Schedule & Call
  • Schedule: Full-time, flexible scheduling

  • Call: 1:4 rotation

Clinical Scope
  • Practice Focus: Full-scope cardiac anesthesia care

  • Responsibilities:

    • Perioperative assessments

    • Administration and monitoring of anesthesia

    • Postoperative care

  • Procedures: Surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic cardiac procedures

  • Facility Services: 24-hour emergency care, Level II trauma, and broad specialty coverage

  • Annual Case Volume: 18,000+ (2023)

Requirements
  • U.S. medical degree or foreign equivalent

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology

  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency and Adult Cardiothoracic Fellowship

  • Active or eligible for an unrestricted Michigan medical license and Controlled Substance License

  • PALS and ACLS (AHA-certified)

  • TEE Certification required
