Practice Overview:
Join The Anesthesia Group of Albany, PC, the largest anesthesia group in the Albany-Troy-Saratoga region of Upstate New York. For over 40 years, our team of physicians and CRNAs has delivered exceptional anesthesia care across multiple hospitals. With the addition of three new cardiac surgeons at St. Peter’s Hospital, we are seeking Cardiac Anesthesiologists to support a high-volume heart center.
Practice Setting:

Hospital-based, high-volume inpatient heart center

No OB or trauma coverage

Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, nurses, and the perioperative team

Participate in pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care for cardiac patients

Contribute to anesthesia protocol improvements
Job Responsibilities
Provide anesthesia care for cardiac surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacements, and complex cardiac surgeries
Manage primarily adult and geriatric patients (some pediatric cases)
Variable shifts: 8, 10, or 12 hours
Call rotation: 1:5, first call every eighth night, no second call
Average daily case volume: 6–8 cardiac cases
No supervision of CRNAs required
Operating Rooms:
30 ORs across St. Peter’s and Samaritan Hospital campuses
Cases primarily cardiac and vascular
Qualifications
Board Eligible (within 5 years) or Board Certified in Anesthesia
ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained (required prior to start)
NY medical license (or willing to obtain)
BLS, ACLS, PALS (by start date)
Open to H-1B visa candidates (J-1 waivers not accepted)
Candidate must not reside within 30 miles of the hospitals
Working Hours
Variable 8, 10, 12-hour shifts
Call rotation: 1:5, first call every eighth night, no second call

Base Salary: $650,000 per year (starting range; does not include productivity bonuses or additional incentives)
$100,000 sign-on bonus
