🎯$530/hr Locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist – High-Paying Assignment in Mason City, IA with Malpractice and Travel & Lodging

Are you a skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist looking for a high-paying locum opportunity in a supportive and growing surgical program? We’re looking for an experienced provider to step into a hospital-based role in Mason City, Iowa, offering $530/hour, comprehensive malpractice coverage, and complimentary travel and lodging!

📍 Location: Mason City, IA
💰 Pay Rate: $530/hr + additional rates for OT & Holiday
📅 Coverage Dates:

• July 28 – Aug 1

• Aug 11 – Aug 15

• Aug 18 – Aug 22

• Sept 1 – Sept 5

• Nov 24 week

• Dec 22 – Jan 2

🕒 Shift Details:

• Mon/Wed/Fri: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

• Tue/Thur: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Extended hours possible for non-cardiac or unfinished cardiac cases

🫀 Practice Details:

• Hospital-based with a growing cardiac surgery program

• Trauma Level II facility

• Primarily solo cases with CRNA students occasionally present

• Expected to handle general cases when cardiac cases aren’t scheduled

• EMR: Cerner (transitioning to EPIC)

• 8 operating rooms in use

• Averaging 1 cardiac surgery/day, 5–7 general cases/day

• Approximately 90 heart cases/year

• On rare occasion, may be asked to cover CRNA-led ASC cases

✅ Requirements:

• Board Certified or Eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology

• Active Iowa License or IMLC

• TEE Certified – must read, interpret, and bill TEE procedures

• Cardiac Fellowship preferred (or extensive experience with TEE)

• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications

• COVID vaccination required

• Must be available on the listed dates
