A well-established medical group in North Central Iowa is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3 years) Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a high-performing team providing full-spectrum anesthesia services at a modern hospital and affiliated ASC.
This is a full-time, hospital-based position offering a unique mix of cardiac and general anesthesia cases, along with opportunities for procedural leadership and CRNA oversight.
Position Overview:

Team Structure: 7 Anesthesiologists + 12 CRNAs

Cases Covered: Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, Ortho, OB, Pediatric (non-complex), General

Call Responsibilities:
-
Cardiac call: Monday–Thursday rotation
-
General call: Approx. 6 weekends/year + 1 holiday/year

Workload:
-
1 cardiac case/day (not every day)
-
5–7 general cases/day when not covering cardiac

CRNA Oversight: Yes (in both hospital and ASC settings when needed)

Trauma: Level II ER; no pain clinic

ORs in Use: 8
Candidate Requirements:

Board Certified/Eligible in Anesthesiology – Required

Cardiac Fellowship and/or TEE Certified (must be able to read, interpret, and bill TEE, not just place probe) – Required

Iowa License or IMLC Eligibility – Required

Iowa CSR & DEA – Required

BLS, ACLS, PALS – Required

COVID Vaccination – Required

Compensation & Benefits:

Total compensation package: $575,000
