JOB OVERVIEW:
• Job Title: Physician – Anesthesiology Cardiac
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Dubois, PA
• Service Setting: Inpatient | Hospital | Cardiac Rehab Unit
• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call
• Coverage Period: 05/16/2025 – 13 weeks (with specific date needs)
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday 7a–4p
• On-Call Shift Schedule: Weeknight call 4p–7a, 24-hour weekend call
• Call Type: In-House/Phone

COVERAGE PERIOD:
May 16 - 19
May 25 - June 8
June 22 - 29

PATIENT INFORMATION:
• Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics
• Patient Volume/Census: 2–10 daily patients
• Admissions: Yes
• Rounding: Yes (as part of Cardiac Anesthesia coverage)
• Case Mix: Cardiac surgery, coronary artery bypass, valve replacement, thoracic and vascular surgery, cath lab cases, endovascular coverage

FACILITY INFORMATION:
• No. of Hospital Beds: 228
• EMR System: GE Centricity (outpatient), Cerner (inpatient)
• Specialty Backup Available: 6 Cardiologists, 1 Cardiothoracic Vascular Surgeon, 1 Thoracic Surgeon, CRNAs
• Support Staff Available: CRNA support in all cases
• Reason for Coverage: Scheduled coverage and call need

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE:
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (2-3 weeks for clean background)
• Credentialing Timeline: Full privileges 60–90 days

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
• Rate: TBD

REQUIRED PROCEDURES:
• Cardiac anesthesia procedures (pump cases)
• Coronary artery bypass grafting
• Valve replacement
• Thoracic surgery
• Vascular surgery
• Cath lab procedures
• Endovascular procedures
• TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Licenses: Active PA license (IMLC accepted)
• Certifications: Board Certified, Cardiac Fellowship preferred, TEE certification required, DEA
• Experience: 1–2 years preferred
• Other Qualifications: Must have a clean background for temporary privileges

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide cardiac anesthesia services for surgical and cath lab cases
• Participate in weekday and weekend call coverage
• Collaborate with cardiology, surgery, and CRNA teams
• Complete documentation in GE Centricity and Cerner EMRs
• Deliver care for a range of cardiac and thoracic cases, including emergency procedures
