Job Summary

PRN Healthcare and an award-winning medical facility in Iowa are seeking a locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist for multiple dates starting from April to December 2024. This role involves supporting a growing hospital cardiac surgery program, primarily in a solo case setting but occasionally overseeing CRNA students. The practice encompasses a range of patients across age demographics, with an average of one cardiac surgery per day alongside general cases. Shift Schedule

Shift: Monday-Wednesday-Friday, 6:30A-3P; Tuesday-Thursday 7A-3P

Scheduling: Multiple dates of coverage needed through April - December

Required Certification & Experience

• BC in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred
• IA License or IMLC preferred
• TEE Certified (must be able to read, interpret, and bill TEE procedures - NOT just the placement of the probe)
• IA CSR & DEA
• BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Types of cases include General Surgical Cases Adult and Pediatric, Minor Nerve Blocks, IV Regional/Spinal/Regional/Epidural/Open heart Anesthesia, Obstetrical Cases, Neurosurgical Cases, Thoracic Cases (except open heart), Complex Orthopedic Cases, Complex Vascular Cases (Except open heart), Acute Pain Management Procedures, Insertion of Central and Arterial Line
