Cardiac Anesthesiologist Locums Job | Ongoing in Iowa | Growing Cardiac Surgery Program
Dates of Coverage:
--Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (6:30 AM-3:00 PM)
--Tuesday and Thursday (7:00 AM-3:30 PM)
--April 15-19, April 29-May 3, May 6-10, May 13-17, June 24-28, July 1-5, July 8-12, August 5-9, August 12-16, December 23-27, and December 30 - January 3, 2025
Assignment Details (#99845):
--Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology required
--Active Iowa license or IMLC is preferred
--TEE Certified (must be able to read, interpret, and bill TEE procedures - NOT just the placement of the probe) is required
--BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification is required
--COVID Vaccine is required
--Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: Cardiac surgeries 1/day, but not every day; 5-7 general cases/day. Must help cover general if no cardiac cases.
--Number of Anesthesiologists in Practice: 6
--Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent, Child, Adult, Geriatric. Very sick children are sent to other hospitals better staffed/equipped for children.
--EMR: Cerner - moving to EPIC
