Physician or Nurse Practitioner – Allergy and Immunology, Allergist
A reputable and well-established Private Practice Group near Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced, Allergist Physician or Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This role is open to board-certified and experienced Allergists. Winning culture, competitive pay, and great benefits offered!
Essential Duties Major responsibilities:
- The allergist will see 10-15 patients per day on average.
- The general workweek is M-F, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Allergists provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
- The allergist works with a team of about 9-other providers with varying specialties.
- The allergist is responsible for prescribing pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
- Refers patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate.
- Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
- As appropriate to the position, the allergist participates in specified health promotion, education, and/or prevention programs.
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
- 100% out-patient.
- Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in the area of expertise.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the health centers mission statement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent PA program degree.
- Authorized to work in the USA.
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician. (ABAI)
- Allergists must hold 2+ years of out-patient care experience.
- Current licensure by the Texas Medical Board.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
