### Locums | Cardiothoracic/Vascular Surgery NP | Springfield, OH (Active OH License Required) ### Why This Role

  • Initial September block with ongoing coverage through 2027
  • One to two weeks of coverage needed per month
  • Temporary privileges may be available within one week for clean files
  • Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage reimbursed

Assignment Details Initial Coverage: September 8–18, 2026 Ongoing Need: One to two weeks per month through 2027 Weekday Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Weekday Call: Floor beeper call from 3:00 PM–7:00 AM Weekend Coverage: 24-hour onsite support with floor or operating-room call Weekend Callback: Approximately 10 hours Setting: Inpatient Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Patient Population: Adult and geriatric Patient Volume: Approximately 20–26 patients per day Trauma Designation: Level II EMR: Epic Standard Credentialing: Approximately 90–120 days Temporary Privileges: Potentially available within one week for complete, clean files Travel: Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage reimbursement available ### Requirements Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner Active Ohio license required at presentation Active ACLS and DEA At least five years of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery experience Independent vein-harvesting proficiency Current surgical first-assist experience Clean professional, malpractice, and licensure history required Ability to provide weekday and weekend call coverage ### Clinical Details Provide postoperative care for Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery patients First assist in scheduled and emergency surgical cases Perform vein harvesting and retrieve vascular tissue for bypass conduits Round on approximately 20–26 hospitalized patients Evaluate consultations and referrals from the emergency department, catheterization lab, and hospital providers Order and interpret diagnostic testing Prescribe medications and coordinate care Provide floor, beeper, and operating-room call coverage Potentially supervise or teach clinical staff
