Gynecologic Surgery Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant opening in Hartford, CT Full-Time | Women’s Health Surgery | OR First Assist | Four 10-Hour Shifts A women’s health surgical team in Hartford, Connecticut is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support gynecologic surgery, perioperative care, and inpatient women’s health services. Opportunity Highlights:
- Women’s Health / Gynecologic Surgery APP role
- Primary responsibility is surgical first assisting for gynecologic procedures
- Support minimally invasive, robotic, vaginal, and open gynecologic surgeries
- Provide patient management and consultative services on women’s health surgical units
- Responsibilities include pre-operative care, post-operative care, inpatient consults, Emergency Department consults, and multidisciplinary care coordination
- Work closely with OB/GYN residents as part of the inpatient women’s health service
- Full-time 40-hour position
- Schedule: four 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
- Shift options may include 6:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-6:00 PM
- Occasional flexibility needed several times per year for evening coverage related to resident events

- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner/APRN
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or APRN program
- Current Connecticut PA or APRN license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible; certification must be completed within 3 months of hire if eligible
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred for PA candidates
- Master’s degree required for APRN candidates
- Prior women’s health experience strongly recommended
- OR first-assist and perioperative surgical patient management experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with physicians, nursing staff, and OB/GYN residents
