APP – Cardiology Opportunity Location: Syracuse, New York • Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join an established Cardiology practice in Syracuse, New York. • Work under physician supervision to provide comprehensive, high-quality cardiovascular care. • Join a supportive, inclusive, and close-knit team that prioritizes patient care and work-life balance. • Opportunity to grow professionally within a rapidly expanding medical practice. Position Responsibilities • Obtain and review comprehensive medical histories. • Conduct physical examinations and clinical assessments. • Order diagnostic tests and assist with evaluating results. • Administer appropriate treatments and monitor patient progress. • Prescribe medications as permitted by licensure and practice guidelines. • Assist physicians with patient care and procedures. • Counsel and educate patients regarding their conditions, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care. • Maintain quality, safety, and infection-control standards. • Respond effectively to emergency situations and demonstrate leadership when necessary. Requirements • Current New York State certification/registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations and assume a leadership role when needed. • Knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches within the area of expertise. • Demonstrated ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection-control standards. • Knowledge of health promotion, health-risk identification, and patient education principles and techniques.
