Locums | Physician Assistant | Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call | Toledo, OH Why This Role

  • Multi-site surgical PA coverage within a Level I trauma system
  • Balanced inpatient floor, ICU, and postoperative care responsibilities
  • Ongoing need supporting an open position and onboarding of a new hire
Assignment Details Start Date January 2026 End Date April 2026 with extension potential Coverage Type Scheduled clinical hours plus call Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00a–4:00p Call Coverage Approximately 10 days per month including two weekends Call Ratio 1:3 Practice Setting Inpatient postoperative floor and ICU with some office-based responsibilities Average Daily Census Approximately 12 patients Trauma Level I Patient Population Adult and geriatric EMR Epic Clinical Details Postoperative inpatient and ICU coverage Daily rounding with supervising physician support Preoperative history and physical examinations Suture removal and routine postoperative care Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions Ordering and interpretation of laboratory tests and imaging Medication management and prescription writing Care coordination across multiple hospital sites Requirements NCCPA certification required Active Ohio physician assistant license required BLS required ACLS required Prior training and relevant clinical experience required 100 percent clean background required Compensation Rates Facility is accepting bids Malpractice Provided Travel Reimbursed
