Administrative Opportunity - Great Lifestyle & Growth Potential

Our client seeks a physician to assist in providing professional medical direction to Utilization/Health Management Department located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Both full and part-time will be considered so if you are interested in continuing to practice part-time and also work in administration the other part, that is an option.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide direction and physician support to the utilization management team in the health management department
  • Participate in the utilization review of inpatient and outpatient prior authorizations. In collaboration with the manager of utilization management and the CMO, help to develop and maintain utilization management policies and procedures and utilization management processes
  • Provide physician support to the case management team in the health management department. Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings
  • Develop and maintain relationships with providers to improve processes related to utilization management
  • Help provide staff orientation, training, and development for utilization management for new hires

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree
  • Valid state medical license and DEA license
  • Three to five years of experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time in Eau Claire
