Employer Highlights:

Medical group consists of six hospitals in northcentral Pennsylvania and various medical office locations. Our network of over 600 experienced physicians, surgeons, and caregivers strive to provide clinically excellent health care through a wide range of services. Caring for a 16-county region, we employ practitioners in a broad range of specialties recognized at the national and state levels for quality of care. In the most recent fiscal year, more than $96 million in community benefit was provided to those in the regions we serve.

A $20 billion health care provider and insurer, our medical group is inventing new models of patient-centered, cost-effective, accountable care. The largest nongovernmental employer in Pennsylvania, we integrate 87,000 employees, 40 hospitals, 700 doctors’ offices and outpatient sites, and a more than 3.5 million-member Insurance Services Division, the largest medical insurer in western Pennsylvania. In the most recent fiscal year, our medical group contributed $1.2 billion in benefits to its communities, including more care to the region’s most vulnerable citizens than any other health care institution, and paid $587 million in federal, state, and local taxes.

Hospital system is ranked #1 in Pennsylvania and #15 in the nation, and is one of only nine hospitals ranked in the nation’s top 20 of America’s Best Hospitals for 10 years in a row by U.S. News & World Report. System’s children’s hospital is ranked in the nation’s top 10 of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.

Area Highlights:

Pennsylvania's beautiful countryside offers more than you can imagine! We're just a short afternoon's drive from big cities like New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C. and Pittsburgh, and yet, we're submersed in scenic beauty. When you work with us, you can choose to live in communities that value family, tradition and outdoor living.

If you enjoy the outdoors, the area has some of the best recreational opportunities in the Northeast. Wellsboro, Pennsylvania is located approximately one and a half hours north of State College and approximately two hours southeast of Rochester, NY.
