POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Chief Population Health Officer (CPHO) is accountable for OSF Healthcare Population Health strategy.
  • Focus is population health provided to OSF patients and the broader community and enable the health system’s success in value-based payment arrangements.
  • The CPHO is accountable for the clinical care and strategy in ambulatory Primary Care, Community Services, Women’s and Children’s, and Behavioral Health.
  • The CPHO collaborates with and engages senior leadership, administration throughout the health system and across the community to implement population health management programs and promote a culture consistent with the goals of improving the experience of receiving and delivering care, improving the health of populations, and lowering the cost of care.
  • The CPHO provides executive leadership that will align the population health strategies to the OSF Health Equity strategies.
  • The CPHO oversees risk-based managed care contracts, planning, organization and direction of Population Health initiatives and managed care agreements on behalf of OSF. Duties also include identification, development, and execution of other commercial business, in collaboration with executive leadership.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:




Education: Doctorate

Experience: 10+ years related experience including 10+ years in leadership role for business unit or support organization.

Licensure/ Certification: M.D. or D.O. (Illinois physician license)

Other Skills/ Knowledge:

Excellent interpersonal skills, as demonstrated by the ability to work effectively with physician partners, individuals and/or teams, across disciplines.
Demonstrated skill in change management.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong financial and analytic skills.
Demonstrated experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
