Job Description

Our client is seeking an Addiction Specialist that will oversee medication-assisted treatment programs (buprenorphine and methadone) across their organization. The Addiction Specialist is a management role that combines program development, supervisory, and clinical duties.

Details:

• Full-time, Permanent

• Monday – Friday

• No call

• Managing all medication-assisted treatment across the organization and fully integrating these services with existing SUD & mental health services

• Developing and expanding MAT services to fill unmet needs in the community while making the client the provider of choice in the service area

• Monitoring mid-level providers and RN’s on the MAT programs and providing expertise & supervision to assist with subject-matter knowledge

• Overseeing non-medical aspects of MAT programs to ensure all treatment is effective, consistent across sites, and follows best practices

• Providing direct treatment when needed and serving as the backup provider for all MAT programs

• Promoting the MAT services out in the community and educating clients, staff, and others about safety and efficacy of treatments

• Collaborating with the Chief Medical Officer and the operations team for strategic planning and other agency initiatives with regards to MAT services

Qualifications

• Completion of MD or DO degree with residency program in addiction medicine, psychiatry, family medicine, or other relevant specialty

• Previous experience or high interest in addiction treatment

• Eligible for Physician & Surgeon or Osteopathic Physician & Surgeon license in Washington

• Federal DEA registration

• First Aid & CPR certification

• Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance

• Board certified only
