Our practitioners are highly skilled professionals with outstanding credentials who deliver the highest level of quality healthcare to patients throughout New York City.

This position provides comprehensive coordination and a single point of contact of onboarding efforts/physician concierge to bring on new providers into PAGNY and creates a positive onboarding experience. This position provides individual assistance to new physicians, assisting them to navigate the numerous groups that interface with the physician.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates, maintains, follows up and tracks all offer letters to providers
  • Single point of contact for all new physician onboarding steps; ability to track and manage multiple new providers' progress through the onboarding process
  • Develops and maintains onboarding/concierge program for all new and existing providers in the network, especially those in hard to fill sites
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to successfully plan and monitor onboarding activities including, but not limited to completion of onboarding tasks, itinerary development for their starts, and "check-ins" post hire
  • Builds relationships by communicating regularly with new physician prior to hire, including sending welcome emails and other communications to keep the candidate informed about credentialing progress, onboarding progression, and plans for their start. Ensure that all administrative and logistical issues have been addressed prior to start date, including but not limited to employee ID and access, computer access and training, online safety training, white coat, employee health, and development of an itinerary for their start
  • Builds and maintains successful relationships with site leadership, HR, medical staff services, Chiefs/Chairs and other stakeholders involved in the recruitment and onboarding process
  • Liaison between Medical Staff Services Department (MSS)/Practice Management/Human Resources and any other critical departments to ensure the onboarding process is smooth and seamless
  • Sends welcome cards, baskets and checks in with all newly hired providers, as directed. Tracks important provider events - i.e. birthdays, anniversaries, holidays. Provides that "extra touch" to new physicians
  • Develops physician/family support program
  • May perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree preferred
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in administrative support or Human Resources positions in a medical environment with frequent physician interaction
  • An effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral, written and persuasive skills
  • Self-starter, ability at times to work very independently as well as in a team. Strong attention to detail, creative, strategic team player able to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
  • Superb follow up skills, professional demeanor and ability to multi-task many projects without getting flustered
