We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician - Addiction Medicine in Michigan.
Locum Tenens Physician - Addiction Medicine
Position Type:
Specialty: Physician - Addiction Medicine
Location: Michigan
Shift: Days (flexible; 5 shifts/week, including weekends)
Start Date: 4/1/2025
End Date: Ongoing
Position Details:
- Patient Population: Adults (18+)
- Setting: Inpatient substance use disorder treatment; residential treatment
- Responsibilities:
- Provide trauma-informed care for addiction treatment
- Manage stable anxiety, affective, personality, and psychotic disorders
- Supervise voluntary, non-restrained patients
- Required Procedures: Familiarity with pharmacotherapy and involuntary commitments
- EMR System: CDHR (training provided)
- Support Staff: 2 psychiatrists, 2 advanced practice providers, master-level social workers, and licensed counselors
- Days Per Month: Flexible schedule; 40-hour work weeks
- On-Call/Weekends: Weekend shifts required, provider can choose their 5-day schedule
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified in Addiction Medicine or Preventive Medicine (FM or IM with Addiction Medicine BE accepted)
- Active MI license or IMLC (REQUIRED)
- Clean background check (REQUIRED)
- BLS certification (REQUIRED)
- Local providers preferred
