Job Type: Addiction Certified Physician, or FP/IM with Addiction Experience

Location: Seneca County, New York

Work Hours: 2 to 3 shifts a week - Monday to Friday 8a to 430p – Days are negotiable during interview

Contract Type: 1099 Contractor

Duration: Looking for 6 month initial coverage, but will consider length variations based on provider desires.

Details:

  • No on call
  • No nights or weekends
  • No at-home charting

Primary Duties:

  • Provide onsite direct clinical services such as but not limited to, health examinations, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Review referrals for resident care made by the treatment team.
  • Complete physical examinations on prospective new employees.
  • Prescribe and oversee administration of the treatment plan. If the plan includes a medication regime, the Consultant must utilize the Formulary adopted by the BJJS and prescribe generic brands when available. Should there be a need to prescribe outside the Formulary, prior authorization must be obtained from the Regional Nurse Manager.
  • In determining resident health problems, the Consultant shall consult with staff and other contracted/non-noncontracted healthcare practitioners as necessary on acute and/or chronic medical/mental health.

Requirements:

  • DEA - BLS certification
  • NY State License – No licensure candidates. ADM board cert preferred, but they will consider FP/IM BC docs with addiction experience.
  • 1 year in addiction medicine

Schedule:

  • 2 to 3 shifts a week - Monday to Friday 8a to 430p – Days are negotiable during interview
  • No on-call/callback duties
