Medical Director Opportunity- Visalia and Porterville, CA

Schedule: Any 4 full days or 5 days (3 full days and 2 half days) - Monday through Friday
5:30AM – 2:00PM (32 Hours/week 6 Hours at Porterville and 26 at Visalia (Prefer two days at Porterville).

Our growth and expansion has produced a need for a Medical Director in the Visalia and Porterville, California. This individual provides patient care, medical evaluation, and interacts as necessary with Federal, state, county & other regulatory bodies.

Our Organization is dedicated to helping individuals with their recovery from addiction with dignity and respect. Our goal is to assist our clients in achieving a healthier lifestyle free from illicit drug use. Our outpatient clinics provide medication assisted treatment using Methadone and Buprenorphine, to treat individuals struggling with opioid addiction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Board Certified in any residency, preferred
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine, preferred.
  • Current state licenses & DEA licenses


Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of chemical dependency/Addictions
• Ability to assess patient’s physical/emotional condition in a short period of time
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with staff
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality, compliance with HIPAA policy and procedures
• Assistance as needed with development of clinical policies, procedures and training
• Assistance as needed with completion of Federal, state, county and other regulatory applications, permits, licensure, inspections, etc.
• Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, documents health history and examination results to meet Federal and state guidelines and refers patient for care elsewhere when indicated (including appropriate follow up)
• Supervises the administration of medications
• Confers with patient’s private physician as needed
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations, in addition to the standards required by JCAHO/CARF/COA, Board of Health, and OSHA

Salary:
The rate is $120.00 - 128.00 per hour.

The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.
