  • Ground breaking opportunity to design a Family Medicine Residency Program with support from local and regional leaders committed to building an evidence based training curriculum empowering the next generation of physicians. Opportunity exists for residents interested behavioral health or women’s health to integrate specific training into their residency learning experiences.

  • Inspire continuous development and evaluation of the educational curriculum to assure the most effective and progressive methods are utilized to optimize Residents maximum learning potential.

  • Champion Program faculty in developing innovative strategies to recruit, retain and promote diverse staffing.

  • Local FQHC allows for partnership to enhance resident experience by supporting the teaching mission and improving delivery capacity, while simultaneously providing access to high-quality care for vulnerable populations.

  • Plans to launch the first year of residents in fall of 2022 with growth goal of 6 residents per year.

  • OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, a Level II Trauma Center licensed for 149 beds, and OSF Medical Group, with a well-established primary care network, provide ample opportunity for rotational inpatient and outpatient experiences.
