The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine Department of OB/GYN is expanding services and seeks Board Certified or Board eligible OB/GYN’s. These positions are part of the Department’s strategy to expand the program optimizing the quality and safety of care provided to women under our care. Selected candidates will provide general OB/GYN services in a rural setting. In addition, chosen individuals will participate in scholarly activity, faculty development, patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, along with the evaluation of the residents and medical students, and develop programs.

The UTRGV School of Medicine, established in 2015 and located in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, a semi-tropical area known for rich culture, wildlife and economical living conditions, is expanding rapidly. The UTRGV School of Medicine prioritizes social responsibility, respect, dignity, advocacy and community service – with a mission to improve health, and life, at the individual and community levels.

Applicants must be BC/BE, possess or be eligible for a Texas medical license, qualified to hold a faculty appointment in the UTRGV School of Medicine and appropriate hospital staff appointments. Demonstration of strong commitment to the education of residents and medical students is essential. Academic rank will be awarded commensurate with academic credentials.
