Searching for a BE/BC Internal Medicine hospitalist for an Academic Hospitalist position in the Parkersburg West Virginia area locations.The academic hospitalist will work with 3 other academic hospitalists and work with our Internal Medicine Residents. our client has about 5-6 residents each year, so a total of 18 or 19. Preferably the ideal candidate is available to start this July 2018. The physician academic hospitalists will work only with the residents. The client will have two academic hospitalists on during the day. There will be an academic service and a non-academic service that work with APPs. There will be flexibility among the academic hospitalists to maintain their schedules. Currently the schedule is a 7 on / 7 off model, however, the academic hospitalist will not be required to work a full 12-hour shift. You will be responsible for taking call but only for the patients on the academic service, no more than 36 patients divided between the two academic hospitalists scheduled that week however they agree. Calls should be very limited.
