Internal Medicine Core Faculty for the Lexington Health Internal Medicine Residency Program will devote a significant portion of their effort to resident education and assisting the IM Program Director in the development, leadership, supervision, and ongoing maintenance of the residency program. Faculty will be expected to lead, teach, supervise, and mentor resident physicians through the course of their duties. Yearly, faculty will be expected to complete the ACGME Faculty Survey to assist in further development of the program.
Job Requirements:
Time will be split between educational, administrative, and clinical care components as listed below. Faculty members can request to be mostly outpatient, mostly inpatient, or a split of both.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Board certification in Internal Medicine (American Board of Internal Medicine)
- License (or ability to be licensed) to practice medicine in the state of South Carolina
- Previous experience as a core faculty in an ACGME-accredited program is preferred
- Strong leadership skills
- Medical staff privileges (or the ability to be privileged) in the Department of Internal Medicine at Lexington Health, consistent with the scope of Internal Medicine
