SSM Health, a large, nationally recognized, not-for-profit Catholic health system, is seeking a Chief Medical Officer/VP Medical Affairs in the Oklahoma region. This position will oversee 2 locations, including SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Midwest, located in Midwest City, OK and SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Shawnee in Shawnee, OK.

The exceptional physician leader will report to the Regional Chief Clinical Officer, as well as the corresponding Hospital Presidents, and will serve as a key member of the leadership team providing strategic direction on medical related issues.

Ideal candidates will thrive in a dynamic executive environment in a matrix organization and promote teamwork within and across the organization by maintaining positive relationships and utilizing effective problem solving skills. They will display and encourage ethical behavior in the areas of business ethics, legal compliance, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, vendor relationships and the reporting of questionable activities and serve as a role model and mentor to providers and leadership.

The CMO will also interact with physicians and other healthcare professionals serving as a bridge between the organization and it's customers. They will manage external relationships with the scientific community as well as with patient groups and authorities.
