Lab Director

We are looking for a Lab Director who will lead our Somatic Curation Lab.

This position is remote! Live anywhere in the United States!

Type of Work:

• Design studies
• design, optimize, and automate QC and data review interfaces.
• Oversee other scientists and bioinformaticians
• Serve as a knowledge resource for difficult cases.
• Serve as an ambassador to the genetics community, including giving public lectures, attending major conferences, and interacting with client providers such as physicians and Genetic Counselors

Requirements:

• PhD in Human Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related field
• ABMGG board-certified clinical molecular geneticist or board-certified molecular genetic pathologist
• Prior experience with next generation sequencing ( NGS ) is required
• Highly skilled, self-motivated, leader
• Must be familiar and experienced in CAP, CLIA, and State and Federal regulations
