APP – Wound Care (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) Location: Willimantic, CT Wound Care Certification or Prior Wound Care Experience Preferred Shift Detail: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Position Overview: An exciting opportunity is available for a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a dedicated team committed to delivering advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine therapies. This role involves comprehensive wound assessment, coordination of treatment plans, and direct patient management in a collaborative care environment. Role Scope: • Perform comprehensive wound assessments and diagnoses. • Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic studies. • Manage hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments. • Coordinate multidisciplinary care including nursing, nutrition, medications, dressings, and adjunctive wound therapies. • Maintain detailed medical record documentation including progress notes and chart reviews. • Stay current in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and evidence-based practices. Qualifications: • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Master’s level) or Physician Assistant program. • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Connecticut as an APRN or PA. • National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required. • Wound care certification or prior wound care experience preferred. • Training in hyperbaric therapy will be provided.
