Urology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a Urology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a collaborative urology team in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The provider will care for urology patients across inpatient, peri-operative, post-discharge, and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to urology patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform patient evaluations, daily rounds, consultations, and pre/postoperative assessments.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate care in collaboration with urology physicians.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and consultations within scope of practice.
• Perform appropriate urological procedures based on training and established protocols.
• Identify and manage complex or unstable patients and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Coordinate discharge planning, follow-up care, referrals, and necessary testing.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical record documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in quality improvement, education, and other departmental initiatives.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner: Master's degree in Nursing from a CCNE-accredited program and national APRN certification.
• Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or master's degree from an ARC-PA-approved PA program and current NCCPA certification.
• Current or eligible for appropriate West Virginia licensure as an NP or PA.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Additional advanced life support certification may be required based on departmental needs.
• Clinical or surgical urology experience preferred.
• New graduate NPs will be considered.
• Master's-level degree preferred for Physician Assistants.
