Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Neurology & Sleep Location: Rapid City, South Dakota Experience: 1+ year of clinical experience preferred ________________________________________ Position Overview • Seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a Neurology & Sleep Medicine practice in Rapid City, SD • Work under physician supervision while providing high-quality, patient-centered care • Responsible for managing selected at-risk or complex patients in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members • Must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to provide care on a continuing basis ________________________________________ Essential Functions • Predominantly outpatient-based practice (spending 20% or less in the inpatient setting) • Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with neurological and sleep-related conditions • Collaborate with supervising physicians to provide and coordinate care • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop individualized treatment plans • Perform and document comprehensive health assessments and follow-up evaluations • Provide patient education and counseling on disease management and preventive care • Demonstrate appropriate patient referral and coordination with other specialists as needed • Participate in practice call rotation as required • No operating room or Emergency Department call responsibilities • Complete thorough and timely documentation according to policy and regulatory requirements • Ensure compliance with state and federal scope-of-practice regulations ________________________________________ Qualifications • Required (South Dakota): o Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) – South Dakota Board of Nursing o or Physician Assistant (PA) – South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners • Preferred: o Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in Neurology, Sleep Medicine, or related specialty o Strong interpersonal and communication skills o Experience managing complex or chronic patient populations ________________________________________ Physical Requirements • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects ________________________________________ Why Join This Opportunity • Collaborative, patient-focused Neurology & Sleep Medicine team • Modern, well-equipped outpatient facility • Supportive multidisciplinary environment promoting professional growth and work-life balance • Located in Rapid City, a family-friendly community offering a four-season lifestyle, scenic surroundings, and numerous outdoor recreation opportunities in the Black Hills
