Advanced Practice Provider – Urology Location: Torrington, CT Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday Overview: An exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a growing Urology team providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. This role specializes in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of patients with kidney stones and other general urologic conditions. Role Scope & Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care in office consultations, including assessments, work-ups, triage, emergency work-ins, and follow-up visits. • Obtain and document patient health histories, perform physical exams, and order or interpret diagnostic tests. • Counsel patients regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and follow-up care. • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver evidence-based, high-quality care. • Collect, organize, and discuss patient data using sound clinical judgment. • Prescribe medications and manage ongoing treatment according to patient needs. • Ensure timely retrieval and review of laboratory results, imaging, and consultation reports. • Coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up visits with clinical and administrative staff. • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold all regulatory and organizational standards. Qualifications: • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA). • Current State of Connecticut license with prescriptive authority and DEA registration. • Current CPR certification. • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an APP (urology experience preferred). • Strong clinical management and teamwork skills with the ability to take initiative and lead when appropriate. • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; proficiency in additional languages is a plus. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently. • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (experience with Epic preferred).
