Novant Health Medical Group is seeking a conscientious, compassionate, and skilled Surgical Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing Urology practice in Winston-Salem, NC. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside expert surgeons, providing advanced care for patients with complex urologic needs in both acute and ambulatory settings.

Position Highlights

• Provide clinical care for urology patients in clinic and hospital settings

• Assist surgeons with robotic procedures in the OR

• Perform office procedures and round at acute facilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, NPs, and PAs

• Schedule: Primarily 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with first-call coverage ~2 days/month

• Experience in urology and surgical assist preferred

• RNFA certification required for NP candidates

What We're Looking For

Education

• Master's Degree required

• Graduate of an NCCPA-accredited Physician Assistant program OR NP/post-Master's NP program

Experience

• One year of urology experience preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Current PA or NP license in the appropriate state required

• NCCPA certification or registration with the state nursing board required

• ACLS certification required

• DEA registry required

• RNFA certification required for NP applicants

Additional Skills Required

• Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing

• Thorough knowledge of diagnosis and pharmacology

• Strong skills in physical assessment and management of chronic illness

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• General computer knowledge preferred

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the care team

• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and creative thinking skills

• Dedication to patient rehabilitation and promotion of self-care
