An established urology practice in Greensboro, NC is seeking a motivated PA or NP with some prior experience in urology, either through direct practice as an APP, clinical rotations or other prior experience. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of experienced urologists in the outpatient setting. This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule, offering an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of urology.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of urological conditions, such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate issues, and erectile dysfunction.
  • Perform or assist with urological procedures
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests, imaging studies, and urodynamic evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising urologists, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and patient education.
  • Provide counseling and support to patients and their families regarding urological conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current licensure as a PA or NP in the state of North Carolina.
  • Some prior experience in urology is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
